Hello Neon Woodies!

We hope you had a great October. From our end, we know that we sure did!😃 Getting to know our new tenants over the last month has been an absolute blast.

First off, we teamed up with our friends at Bliss Yoga Berlin to have a solid yoga session in the lobby for our Neon Wood tenants. Many thanks to everyone who joined! Thanks also to our partners at lululemon for supplying us with some first-rate yoga mats 🙏🏼

We also had our first official resident get-together on Saturday, October 14th and we are very happy to say it was well attended! Seeing so many tenants from around the world participating in the evening festivities made for a fantastic time. That, of course, is easy to do when you have skilled DJs living in your building. Many thanks to Jacopo Soncin & RGR-RGR from DBS for the skillful mixing!

Whether spinning around on a yoga mat or spinning some records, we had an outright incredible October. To kick off your November, here are a couple of Berlin gems that caught our eye.
It’s getting colder and that means Netflix and chill season is now upon us! (or, in this case, SKY and Chill). German speakers and German learners will love discovering Babylon Berlin – Germany’s hottest new TV series. Having just premiered, the SKY show has the production value of a Hollywood hit but with all the unique charm of 20s Berlin. The show’s intense characters and Gatsby-ish look make for some great binge-watching.
After passing through Amsterdam, Antwerp and Istanbul, the latest exhibition from the world’s most famous street artist is now in Berlin! Curated by Steve Lazarides, this collection contains a mix of some of some of Banksy’s most iconic stencils and cheekiest gallery works. Be sure to check them out before November 30th!

Do you like art that’s a little more outlandish?Check out expressionist painter Wenzel Hablik’s work over at Martin Gropius Bau until mid January, 2018. Inspired by visions of magical castles the painter claims to have seen while staring into crystals as a small child (you can’t make this stuff up), Hablik was deep in the German art scene at the turn of the century. His style is one part fantasy film, one part 70s album art, and one part we have no idea.
Music of the Month: 80s Synthwave!

Between Stranger Things’ Halloween return to Netflix and Bladerunner bringing back its classic brand of cyberpunk to the bigscreen, 80s nostalgia is at an all-time high this fall – and music producers on the internet have taken notice!
Check out these two awesome Youtube compilations inspired by the score of
Stranger Things and director Denis Villeneuve’s Bladerunner sequel for some syth-tastic sounds and prepare to have your mind blown!
